Ferris Bueller's Parents Reunite for 30th Anniversary Ferris Fest Promo (VIDEO)

The actors re-create a classic scene from "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" as part of a video for the Lake Forest event in May.

With a little more than a month to go, organizers are starting to generate the buzz for the Lake Forest event to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the John Hughes classic film Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

The latest effort reunites the Cindy Pickett and Lyman Ward—the actors who played the title character's mom and dad, respectively—in a promotional video for Ferris Fest: A 30th Anniversary Leisure Weekend, which will run May 20-22 in Lake Forest.

The video re-creates one of the movie's famous scenes—in this case, the one when a group of admirers visit the Bueller home to tell an "ill" Ferris they want him to get well.

While most of the movie was shot in Lake Forest and Chicago, the actual Bueller home was in Long Beach, Calif., Movieweb reports. That's where the promo with Pickett and Ward was shot.

Chicago film critic Richard Roeper will host a special screening of Ferris Bueller on May 21 at the John and Nancy Hughes, and there also will be a tour of area film locations, as well as a re-creation of the "Twist and Shout" parade scene. Actors from the film who are scheduled to attend include Pickett, Ward, Jonathan Schmock (the French restaurant maitre d’), Edie McClurg (the school secretary) and Larry "Flash" Jenkins (one of the Chicago garage attendants).
