Festival and Fireworks Schedule Set

Friends of Lake Forst Park & Recreation Foundation will put on the event for the ninth year at Deerpath Park.

The ninth annual Festival and Fireworks event presented by the Friends of Lake Forest Parks and Recreation Foundation will take place on Saturday, the Fourth of July, at Deerpath Park.

“Besides the amazing fireworks, great food, drinks and family fun, we’re excited to announce ‘Wynonna and the Big Noise’ as our featured musical act along with Chicago’s country band ‘Six String Crossing’ as the opener,” said Mark Milliman, Foundation President.

Sponsorships by Lake Forest Bank and Trust and Fields Auto Group help make this an affordable and family-friendly event. Tickets are $15 for Lake Forest/Lake Bluff residents ($20 for non-residents). Tickets can be purchased prior to June 15, by visiting www.FriendsLFPR.org or at the Recreation Center business office starting June 16.

A “Buy 3 Get 1 Free” promotion is running online until June 15. A VIP Family package – including food, beverages, and premier parking, is also available.

The fun starts at 6 p.m. when the opening band “Six String Crossing” takes the soundstage. The main headliner, “Wynonna and the Big Noise” begins at 8 p.m. Then at approx. 9:40 p.m., arguably the greatest fireworks display on the North Shore begins filling the skies.

Families can bring in their own food and beverages − or purchase delicious food at the event. A variety of food, side dishes, desserts, beer, wine, soft drinks and water will be available for sale. Besides onsite parking is available ($25) along with parking at the Union Pacific North line Lake Forest station which is a five minute walk from the Festival.

For those who only want to watch the fireworks, the gates will open prior to the fireworks display. Please note that all food, drinks, admission and parking will only accept cash, no debit or credit cards.

Proceeds from the event help support the enhancement of Lake Forest Parks & Recreation Department’s programs, services, facilities and need-based activity scholarships for families in the community. Through funds raised by tax-deductible donations, the Fred Jackson Annual Golf Classic and Festival & Fireworks events, the Friends have provided substantial funding dedicated to beautify parks, make structural improvements and expand recreational programming.

VIP PASSES: $75 ADULT / $25 CHILD –(12 yrs & under). Must be accompanied by adult VIP (Includes admission, food and beverages & early setup at 3:00 pm).

VIP FAMILY: $250 (Includes 2 Adult VIP passes, 4 Child VIP passes and Premier parking) Limited amount and only available in advance on website, a $300 value.

Schedule of Events

3:00 pm VIP ticket holders allowed access to set up their lawn chairs/blankets. They must leave the park once their equipment is set-up

5:00 pm Gates Open – bring your lawn chair or blanket – No tents or stakes, no pets, no smoking

6:00 pm Six String Crossing, starts the evening

8:00 pm Wynonna and the Big Noise, takes the stage

9:40 pm Fireworks Display
