FOODSTOCK 2014, a
benefit concert for COOL Food Pantries in Waukegan and Ingleside, Illinois,
will take place at the Lake Bluff Gazebo on Sunday, June 29 from 4:00 to 7:00
p.m. The concert will feature local bands, Class of ’68, and Suede & Susie,
who have agreed to donate their time and talents to help make this event a
success on behalf of COOL.
Since its inception in
2005, FOODSTOCK has donated over $125,000 and 12,000 pounds of food to the COOL
Food Pantry. The year 2013 posted a record high of 71,617 people receiving food
from COOL, or a
total of 851,404 meals. This is an
increase of over 21% from 2012, and a difference of 12,508 more people
receiving food.
Come and spend a
relaxing afternoon on the Green. Snacks will be available for purchase from
Catering by Kenny. Attendees are asked to bring non-perishable food items
and/or to contribute a free will donation to COOL. Just $20 buys over 160
pounds of food for the pantry. And for every $20 you donate, you will be
entered into a drawing for some fantastic prizes from local vendors.
