Highwood Incumbents Will Run Unopposed

Six incumbent Highwood city council members will run opposed in the 2015 election.

The Highland Park News reports aldermen Andy Peterson, Michael S. Fiore and M. Brad Slavin have filed to retain their seats for four-year terms while incumbents seeking two-year terms are Christopher Lee Grice, Eric Falberg and Matt Feddermann.

This will be the first Highwood election under the new at-large system, which will decrease the number of alderman in the city from eight to six. Voters approved that change during a November 2012 referendum.
