How to combat the recylcing problem

The problem with recycling is the amount of energy and labor it takes to sort through the commingled materials.

A simple solution is to pass out 3 differently colored containers and collect only certain types of materials depending on the week of the month.

So...

Use green containers on the 1st and 2nd week of each month to collect cardboard and paper.

Use blue containers on the 3rd week to collect plastic.

Use red containers on the 4th week to collect glass.

This way, sorting is done at the source.
