'Hysterical' Teen Girl Charged With Underage Drinking: Lake Forest Blotter
Recent reports from the Lake Forest Police Department include a curfew violation and controlled substance arrest.

Excessive Speeding
A 22-year-old man from Milwaukee, Wisconsin was charged with not having a driver's license and speeding at 2:35 a.m. on Jan. 16 after he was stopped in the area of Route 41 and Westleigh Road for speeding 83 mph in a 55 mph zone.

Minor in Consumption of Alcohol
An 18-year-old woman from St. Louis Park, Minnesota was charged with minor in consumption of alcohol at 11:52 p.m. on Jan. 15 in the 500 block of Sheridan Road. Police responded to Lake Forest College for reported 18-year-old female throwing up and intoxicated. Upon arrival, police located the woman lying on a bed, acting hysterical, crying, and throwing up into a garbage bin. The woman admitted several times she drank an unknown number of vodka drinks. Police could detect an odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from her person when she spoke and she appeared severely intoxicated. She was transported by Lake Forest Fire Department to Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital Emergency Room.

Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance
A 29-year-old Arlington Heights man was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance at 8:45 a.m. on Jan. 14. Police were dispatched to the area of Rte. 41 and Rte. 60 for the report of a possible car fire in the area. Police located a white sedan that had smoke coming from under the hood. Police spoke with the driver who stated his vehicle had overheated. While speaking to the man, police detected the strong odor of marijuana coming from the car. The man admitted his friends smoke marijuana in his car and he consented to a search. Police located an unmarked pill bottle in the man's possession with what appeared to be a prescription medication he did not have a prescription for. The man then admitted the pill bottle contained Xanax and that he did not have a prescription for Xanax.
Curfew Violation
Three teenagers - two 15-year-old girls from Lake Forest and one 14-year-old boy from Lake Forest - were charged with a curfew violation at 1:53 a.m. on Jan. 14 at Deerpath Road and Sussex Lane. Police on routine patrol located three juveniles walking in the area of Deerpath and Sussex. The juveniles attempted to hide from the officer but were located and detained. All three were transported to the Public Safety Building, their parents were notified and all three were eventually charged with violation of curfew. They were issued administrative hearing tickets and given a February court date.
