On Saturday, March 1, 2014, the Parisian themed event A Country Day in Paris celebrated 32 years of Lake Forest Country Day School auctions. Michele Giambrone and Peg Vignocchi hosted the elegant soiree that brought together over three hundred parents, alumni, and faculty and staff members for a champagne fountain, dinner, dancing, late night croissant tasting and fundraising!
This year the Auction successfully raised $480,000 for the 2013-2014 school year. The surprise Dutch Auction, hosted by our very own Bob Whelan, had the community on their feet cheering and applauding, while guests continuously raised their paddles during various bidding increments. The energy, spirit, and sense of community in the room was incredibly powerful and we cannot thank Michele and Peg and their extraordinary team of volunteers enough!
