Lake Forest Garden Club Members Receive Award

Joan DePree, Jane O’Neil and Karen Stensrud were recognized by The Garden Club of America for their steadfast leadership guiding the rehabilitation and conservation of Forest Park in Lake Forest. With a focus on the importance of environmental responsibility and respect for the landscape of the park overlooking Lake Michigan, this deserving trio were commended by the GCA in this Zone Civic Improvement Award, which is given for outstanding efforts within a zone, which enhance, protect, or restore the local environment or improve the community through sharing the knowledge of plants and or gardening.
