Lake Forest High School Varsity Cheerleaders take FIRST PLACE in Summer Camp “Cheer-Off”

The Lake Forest High School Varsity sideline cheerleading squad has recently returned home, along with five other cheerleading squads, from an intensive four-day cheerleading camp held in Lake Geneva, WI.  Instructors at the camp consisted of collegiate National Champion cheerleaders from the Universities of Kentucky, Louisville, and Oklahoma State.   The overall emphasis of the camp concentrated on the development of advanced cheerleading techniques for stunting, pyramids, jumps, tumbling and game material.   At camp, our Scout cheerleaders impressed the instructors with their dedication and work ethic throughout the weekend, taking home a first place finish in the annual sideline “cheer-off”!  The Varsity cheerleaders can be seen on the sidelines of all LFHS Football games, both home and away, as well as volunteering within Lake Forest’s recreational youth cheerleading program.  Varsity sideline team members who participated in this year’s intensive overnight camp include: Paige Alex, Ilse Arevalo, Jill Barrere, Kennedy Best, Maddie Collins, Maddie Flusser, Victoria Glass, Kelsey Hill, Grace Hogan, Antoinette Jakaitis, Tabatha Jeffers, Brooke Kuby, Julia LaMothe, Claire Lawrence, Dana Mabrey, Taylor Marcusson, Katey Palella, Sara Rossman, Emily Rule, and Brooke Shaul.  The Lake Forest High School Cheerleading program is coached by Jaclyn Kelley Cardenas (Head Varsity Coach), Linda Rich (Junior Varsity Coach), and Teri Spanswick (Varsity Assistant Coach).
