Lake Forest Schools May Drop Latin
While language numbers are up across the nation, Lake Forest is having a hard time finding teachers and may drop program.

Lake Forest District 67 is having a hard time finding teachers for their second grade Latin classes and may stop offering the foreign language altogether, the Lake Forester reports.
District 67 is actually considering overhauling their entire foreign language program from kindergarten through fourth grade.
But a revamped core without Latin may be bucking the national trend, which has seen the once lifeless tongue see a rebirth in recent years.

The Lake Forester article points out that Latin classes across the United States have increased at the middle and high school levels and is now the fourth most-commonly studied language, trailing only Spanish, French and German.
