• Lake Forest Rallies To Help Injured Officer Return Home From Nicaragua (patch.com) — Lake Forest residents are rallying to support police officer Filip Czarnecki after he suffered a severe traumatic brain injury while visiting family in Nicaragua. A GoFundMe organized by colleagues and loved ones has raised most of the funds needed for a costly medical air ambulance to Chicago and ongoing care, as the community works to help him return home and recover.
