Lake Forest Woman At Fault For Crash While Driving Drunk: Blotter

LAKE FOREST, IL — The following information comes from Lake Forest and Lake Bluff police and Lake County court records as a record of those arrested by police. Karen Johnson, 63, of the 1500 block of Kenmore Street, Round Lake Beach, was arrested around 4 p.m. on Feb. 22 near the intersection of Conway Farms Road and Berkshire Drive and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving under the influence of alcohol with a breath alcohol concentration of 0.08 or greater after officers were dispatched to the Conway Farms subdivision for a report of a Toyota swerving all over the road. Police said Johnson was driving on a flat tire down the middle of the road before they pulled her over. She had several cans of White Claw in the driver’s area and had trouble answering questions. She later produced a breath sample indicating her BAC was more than twice the legal limit for alcohol intoxication. Officers also issued her a citation for illegal transportation of an open container of alcohol by a driver.
Jeanette M. Hodgkinson, 37, of the 200 block of Majestic Oak Court, Lake Forest, was arrested around 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 25 and charged with driving under the influence after officers arrived at the scene of a two-car crash at Route 60 and Ridge Road. Police determined Hodgkinson was at fault for the crash and reported that she appeared to be impaired prior to being taken into custody on suspicion of drunken driving.

Jose F. Cisneros Pacheco, 24, of the first block of East Medill Avenue, Northlake, was arrested around 11:15 p.m. on Feb. 26 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a breath alcohol concentration of 0.08 or greater and driving with a suspended license following an encounter with police near Route 60 and Ridge Road. Officers found Cisneros Pacheco strolled in traffic, slumped against the driver’s side window and smelling of alcohol. He was taken into custody and produced a breath sample indicating his BAC was nearly twice the legal limit for alcohol intoxication.
A 42-year-old Waukegan woman was arrested shortly after midnight on the morning of March 3 and charged with driving with a suspended license after she was pulled over going 85 mph on Route 41. Police also issued her a citation for speeding.
Shari J. Blake, 32, 200 Minthaven Ct., Gurnee, was arrested around 4:45 a.m. on March 7 on an outstanding arrest warrant issued by Lake County authorities following a traffic stop on Route 41. She was also charged with driving with a suspended license.
