LAKE FOREST, IL — Consultants will provide an update on progress toward developing a comprehensive plan for the Route 60 corridor in Lake Forest and community members will have an opportunity to provide feedback at a workshop Thursday, the city announced..
A presentation is set to begin at 7:15 p.m. at the municipal services building at 800 Field Drive. Attendees will be able to review maps and charts and make comments, ask questions or share concerns.
The city's portion of the Route 60 corridor extends for about two miles between Interstate 94 on the city's western edge east to Route 41. The Illinois Department of Transportation defines the area as part of "strategic regional arterial" system that, combined with Route 176, extends west from Lake Forest to Wauconda. Earlier this year, the City Council commissioned a consultant and working group to develop a comprehensive plan for the Route 60 corridor.
