League of Women Voters to Host Candidate Forum
Residents to elect new Rockland Fire Protection District Board
Hear candidates vying for posts on the new Rockland Fire Protection District Board on Thursday, March 14, at 7 p.m. at a candidate forum hosted by the League of Women Voters of Lake Forest/Lake Bluff Area. It is the first time residents of the district will elect representatives to serve on the board. Previously, the Lake County board designated appointments. Two years ago, district residents passed a resolution in favor of an elected board.
Candidates include David Andersen (2-year term), Marcin Malinowski (6-year term), Amy Bernstein (4-year term), and Donald Russ (4-year term).
The event will take place at Knollwood Fire Department (14 N. Skokie Hwy., Lake Bluff). Doors open at 6:45 p.m.
