Lake Forest Police Chief James E. Held is a finalist for the police chief position in River Falls, Wisconsin.
The Lake Forester reports Held is one of two finalists for the Wisconsin position, the other being Gordon Young - a deputy police chief in Royal Oak, Mich. A final decision is expected to be made this month.
Held has been a member of the Lake Forest Police Department since 1985, when he was hired as a patrol officer. He has been the city’s chief since 2012.
