Local League of Women Voters chapters to moderate debates
State and county candidates to debate Oct. 7 and Oct. 14

Local chapters of the League of Women Voters invite the public to candidate debates in state and county races in advance of the Nov. 6 General Election. Participants include candidates running for the 10th Congressional District, state and Lake County offices.
Attendees will have an opportunity to hear candidates speak about local issues, their positions, as well as ask questions through League of Women Voters moderators on Oct. 7 and Oct. 14.
October 7: The debate Sunday, Oct. 7, will take place at Deerfield High School (1959 Waukegan Road, Deerfield) at 2 p.m.; doors open at 1:30 p.m. Debate participants include:

- 10th Congressional District: Brad Schneider (D), Douglas Bennett (R)
- 29th State Senate District: Julie Morrison (D), Barrett Davie (R)
- 58th State Representative District: Bob Morgan (D), Frederic “Rick” Lesser (R)
Cosponsoring the debate are local chapters of the League of Women Voters (Deerfield Area, Glenview/Glencoe, Highland Park/Highwood, and LWV-Lake Forest/Lake Bluff Area) and the Union League Club.
