Lake Forest Approves Drone Pilot To Speed Police, Fire Emergency Response (patch.com) — Lake Forest residents will soon see a new emergency-response drone launching from the Public Safety Building downtown, after the City Council approved a Drone as a First Responder pilot program. Police and fire officials say the Glenview-based system should get eyes on emergencies across Lake Forest in under 70 seconds, improving decisions for fires, water rescues on Lake Michigan, and other critical incidents while following Illinois privacy laws.
