Police Seek Public's Help To Solve Armed Robbery Caught On Camera

A gunman stole a woman's purse after rear-ending her car on the way out of a bank parking lot in Waukegan.

WAUKEGAN, IL — Police are asking for the public's help to solve an armed robbery caught on tape in Waukegan last month. Around 11 a.m. on May 24, a man rear-ends a woman's car as they drive out of the parking lot of the PNC Bank at 1802 Belvidere Road, according to a video released Monday by Waukegan police.

The video shows both drivers exit their cars after a minor fender bender outside the bank parking lot. They appear to be inspecting the damage.

Then the man gets back into his dark colored sedan and reverses it a few feet, which turns out to allow for an easier escape.
