This weekend at some well-known musicians take stage in what’s sure to be a memorable few days.
Steely Dan
Steely Dan puts on a special two night concert with special guest Sam Yahel. Known for such hits as “Do It Again” and “Rikki Don’t Lose That Number,” Steely Dan will be performing the band's milestone album Aja in its entirety on Friday, August 12. On Saturday, August 13 the groups will perform songs requested via the internet plus select greatest hits. You can help decide the set list for the August 13 show bysubmitting your favorite Steely Dan song.

Takacs String Quartet
The talents of Takacs String Quartet take the floor this Sunday. The four-member group will perform a Mozart classic, his Quartet Number 21 in D Major, K. 575. The audience will be riveted by Beethoven’s massive Opus 131, which was completed less than a year before his death and boasts no fewer than seven movements. Takacs will also perform Mendelssohn’s second quartet.

Rufus Wainwright CSO Debut
Praised by Elton John as “the greatest songwriter on the planet,” Rufus Wainwright has established himself as one of the brilliant vocalist and breathtaking songwriters of his generation. His performance on Sunday night offers a unique experience: in the first half of the concert Wainwright will share the stage with Chicago Symphony Orchestra; the second half will be all Rufus.
