Reptile Rampage This Weekend in Lake Forest
Annual show is educational and fun for children and adults.

The annual Reptile Rampage, a live reptile exhibit and show held at the Lake Forest Recreation Center Gym, will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. this Sunday.
The rampage, an annual Wildlife Discovery Center event since 1997, will feature about 60 exhibitors from all over the Midwest. Included will be private individuals, nature centers and museums. They all bring in reptiles, some of which can be touched and handles and others that can’t.
“It’s like going to the zoo, but better since the kids will be able to interact with the animals,” said Rob Carmichael, curator of the Wildlife Discovery Center. “It’s all about promoting conservation and awareness on why reptiles are important.”

Some experts will be on hand providing some tips for anyone considering adopting a reptile as a pet, Carmichael added.
Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for kids. All proceeds benefit the Wildlife Discovery Center. This year’s events sponsor is BTG International.
