Request A Mail-In Ballot In Lake County
Anyone registered to vote can now apply for an absentee ballot before November

From Lake County Clerk's Office: Lake County residents registered with their correct name and address can now complete the required application to request a ballot by mail for the November 6, 2018 election.
Although any registered voter can vote by mail, this is an ideal voting option for snowbirds, students away at school, and those who will be traveling on Election Day as your ballot can be mailed anywhere.
It's simple to vote by mail. Complete the short, required application form and return it to the Clerk’s office before noon on Thursday, November 1.

Electronic online or paper applications are available by:
• Logging onto LakeVoterPower.info,
• Calling 847.377.2406, or
• Emailing your name and address to VotingbyMail@lakecountyil.gov.
Your voted ballot must be mailed to the clerk's office with a postmark no later than midnight on Election Day.
According to Illinois state statute, ballots cannot be mailed to voters until late September.
