At-Risk Missing Veteran May Have Biked To Wisconsin: Police

Law enforcement has concerns for the welfare of a 46-year-old veteran who has been missing since Monday morning.

NORTH CHICAGO, IL — Police issued an alert for an at-risk veteran who went missing from the Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center in North Chicago Monday. Law enforcement agencies have concerns for his welfare, according to the Department of Veterans Affairs FHCC Police Department.

Patrick Byron McCann, 46, was last seen at 7:45 a.m. He was wearing a gray sweatshirt and gray sweatpants. He was described as 6 feet tall and about 240 pounds, with balding short blond hair, according to the alert. Authorities believe McCann he may be riding a black motorized bicycle and be in the area of either Kenosha or Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin.

UPDATE: Authorities announced shortly before noon Tuesday that McCann had been found safe.
