Scholarships Available Through Friends of Lake Forest Library
High school seniors with passion for reading in Lake Forest, Lake Bluff and Knollwood encouraged to apply for $2K prize.

Graduating high school seniors living in Lake Forest, Lake Bluff and Knollwood are eligible to apply for the Friends of Lake Forest Library Scholarships, awards of $2,000 to graduating seniors “who clearly demonstrate a passion for reading.”
The scholarship application consists of an application form, a 500-word essay, and a recommendation from an adult.
Lake Forest High School students can apply through their school’s College Resource Center. Eligible students at other high schools may print an application found on the Lake Forest Library website at www.lakeforestlibrary.org.

Scholarship applications will be available in LFHS CRC by early-February, and must be returned by March 20, 2015. Applications from other schools must be dropped off at the Library or be postmarked by March 20, 2015. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.

1. Submit application form
2. Submit a 500-word essay
3. Submit letter of recommendation from an adult who is not a relative
Completed application may be turned in as follows:
1) Turn in completed application to the LFHS CRC by 3:30 PM Friday, March 20, 2015.
2) Drop off completed application to the LF Library by 5:00 PM Friday, March 20, 2015.
3) Mailed applications must be postmarked by March 20, 2015. Mail to: Friends of Lake Forest Library Scholarship Committee, 360 E. Deerpath, Lake Forest, IL 60045
Late applications will not be considered.
