Sex Offender Charged Amid Investigation Into Church Volunteer

David Tschudy of Lake Bluff faces two felonies as a result of the Lake Forest Police Department investigation.

LAKE FOREST, IL - A registered sex offender from Lake Bluff was charged with two felonies this week as a result of a Lake Forest Police Department investigation into concerns regarding a possible sex offender volunteering at the First Presbyterian Church of Lake Forest.

Police charged David Tschudy, who resides on Washington Avenue, with unlawful failure of a sex offender to report change of address of employment and unlawful presence within a school zone by a child sex offender this week.

The investigation began on Oct. 24, when police received a complaint about a registered sex offender volunteering at the Sheridan Road church and concerns regarding the church's close proximity to a preschool.
