Special 1st Timer Summer Camp

Become a part of the continuing summer tradition of Swift Nature Camp. This Outdoor Summer Adventure Camp program begins on June 14 and runs through August 7. Children are given the opportunity to learn, explore and discover themselves all in a fun and extremely supportive environment.

Swift Nature Camp is an old fashioned camp for boys and girls 6-15 who enjoy being out in nature. Our activities include: Arts & Crafts, Horses, Sailing, Canoe & Hiking Trips, Archery, Rifery and much more. Yet the true focus is helping children feel an appreciation for science and nature. Campers enjoy the chance to care for animals in the camp Zoo.

Discovery Camp- Is a uniquely wonderful first time camp program for children 6-12. Discovery Camp is a nurturing program for first-time overnight campers, offering additional staff to provide support and encouragement to overcome homesickness and build confidence. The program welcomes no more than 50 first-time campers, and the special attention that this intimate group receives is the reason that more than 92% of them wish to return.

Staff- At SNC our staff are our strongest asset, it is the connections they make with children keep kids returning. Our 10 day training with continual supervision which always demands the best from our staff. Our goal is to help chidden grow and mature in a supportive environment. Staff are less concerned with competition and work on building team values that support all. Our parents are impressed by the care we provide and the peace of mind we give while your child is away. Activities- Classic summer fun for all! Water and Land activities keep you busy all day long. .Here are a few: Horses, crafts, swimming, canoeing, sailing, skiing, Archery, Sling Shotts and much more. Over 25 activities. Camping activities – including songs, campfire, smokes and trips with tent camping. Each trip is age appropriate, challenging but doable. . games and lots of outdoor fun and adventure. Campers will have the opportunity to build self-confidence, discover new skills, develop a respect for the outdoors and make lots of new friends. Best of all, you can be assured that while your kids are exploring new ways to have fun, they are being well cared for in a friendly, safe environment.

Nature & Science- This is what brings our children to SNC. Friends are easily made when you are with others who enjoy the petting zoo, learning about nature and looking at the stars at nights. We learn from guest forest ranges, animal rehabilitator and from our resident Nature Center Director. All Nature & Science learning is done in a fun hands on way.
