LAKE FOREST, IL — The following information comes from the Lake Forest Police Department and court records as a record of those arrested by police. Readers are reminded that an arrest is not an indication of guilt and criminal charges, which represent merely accusations by the state, are often dropped or reduced. All persons named are innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

INCIDENTS

STOLEN CAR
Someone stole a rental car parked in the 800 block of Oakwood Avenue on the night of June 4. Police were told the car had been left unlocked with a key inside. The stolen car was last spotted by Deerfield police headed southbound on Waukegan Road at Lake Cook Road. The car sped away from police, who called off any pursuit.

ARRESTS/CITATIONS

A 19-year-old Long Grove woman was issued a citation for illegal possession of cannabis by officers checking cars at Forest Park Beach around 9:17 p.m. on June 7. Police said they noticed a black Land Rover with its driver's window down, smelled marijuana wafting from inside and noticed drug paraphernalia.

A 19-year-old Vernon Hills man and a 17-year-old Vernon Hills boy were issued citations for illegal possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia around 10:23 p.m. on June 7 after police noticed an illegally parked car near Mayflower Road near Spring Lane with suspected marijuana sitting in plain view inside. When police found the owner, he admitted having cannabis and police searched the car.

An 18-year-old Lake Forest woman was issued a citation for possession of drug paraphernalia around 12:34 a.m. on June 10 near the intersection of Deerpath Road and Ahwanee Lane. Police pulled over a silver BMW for an equipment violation. When they walked up to the car, they immediately smelled weed, and a search turned up a large glass bong containing cannabis residue.

LAKE BLUFF

Vianey Rogel-Rebollar, 33, of the 600 block of South Mcalister Avenue in Waukegan, was arrested at 2:19 a.m. on May 17 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after she was pulled over in the 0-100 block of Sherwood Terrace while going 30 mph in a 55 mph zone and drifting across lane markers. She was also issued two citations for improper lane usage.
