Users of the popular travel website TripAdvisor submit ratings on restaurants, hotels and attractions in all locations throughout the country. Here’s how they voted when it comes to picking the five best restaurants in the Lake Forest area.

1. The English Room: Reviewer from Boston states: “Atmosphere is fun and the food and service was excellent. We ordered everything on the menu and guests thoroughly enjoyed their meals which were plentiful.”
2. Egg Harbor Cafe: Reviewer from Washington, D.C. states: “I went to Egg Harbor Café with some friends for a late lunch, and overall it was a very tasty meal and the restaurant was filled with locals. I found this place by looking online, and I was not disappointed.”
3. Sushi Kushi Toyo: Reviewer from Lexington, Ky. states: “Decided to try this place on the recommendation of a local. I hoped the sushi would be up to my picky culinary critic's standards. It met and exceeded my expectations. Managed to get us seated in about 10 minutes even though we didn't have reservations and seven people.”
4. Francesca’s Intimo: Reviewer from Florida states: “Another one of our favorite stops when visiting our son, daughter-in-law and grand children. A good variety of Italian dishes.”
5. Ferentino’s Pizzeria: Reviewer from Shiloh, Ill. states: “Checked out this place based on the reviews and was very pleased. But if you're looking for a sit down place you won't get it at this location. We were told sit down is at their other location. Nevertheless, we were pleased with our food. Excellent meatball sandwich and pizza.”
