The Top-Producing Trace Team Joins @properties

Industry veteran and Lake Forest native Lisa Trace joins @properties, where she looks to grow her business with her daughter-in-law

@properties, the largest residential brokerage firm in the Chicago metro area and on the North Shore, announced that The Trace Team, a top-producing North Shore real estate team, has joined the firm and will be based out of its Lake Forest office. The team, which is led by industry veteran Lisa Trace, produced over $16 million in closed sales volume over the last 12 months. Company co-founders and co-CEOs Thad Wong and Mike Golden made the announcement.

The Trace Team comes to @properties from Griffith, Grant & Lackie, where Lisa was an agent for 19 years and was that firm’s #1 agent for multiple years. With over $300 million in career sales volume, Lisa is a consistent top producer who has been ranked among the top 20 highest-producing agents in Lake County by Chicago Agent Magazine. Her daughter-in-law, Samantha Trace, joined the team in 2019. They represent buyers and sellers at all price points, specializing in Lake Forest and surrounding North Shore communities.

Prior to her real estate career, Lisa worked as a stock broker and also spent 20 years as a U.S. Navy nurse, retiring as a Commander.

A resident of Lake Forest for nearly 40 years, Lisa has three children with her husband, Dave. She obtained a bachelor’s degree from Marquette University before earning an MBA in finance from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a master’s degree in nursing from Northwestern University. During her free time, she volunteers on the board of the College of Lake County Foundation raising money for scholarships.

Lisa’s father, Jim Dooley, spent 28 years with the Chicago Bears as a first round draft pick, assistant coach, and head coach. Dooley was a coach for both the 1963 NFL World Championship and the 1985 Super Bowl teams along with Mike Ditka.

Samantha Trace also lives in Lake Forest and is a member of various local clubs and organizations. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a master’s degree from Northwestern University.
