Town Hall Meeting Time Changed Due to World Series Game
City of Lake Forest bumps up annual meeting so it won't conflict with possible World Series game.

LAKE FOREST, IL - The annual Town Hall Meeting in Lake Forest has been bumped up an hour on Tuesday, Nov. 1 due to the possibility of the Chicago Cubs playing in Game 6 of the World Series that night.
The meeting, which will include a presentation to update residents on current and upcoming city projects, was originally scheduled to start at 7 p.m. but will now begin at 6 p.m., the city said in a news release Tuesday.
“The city’s goal is to have as many residents in attendance as possible," a statement read. "We hope that by moving the meeting up one hour, the community can attend and still not miss the game.”

All World Series games begin at 7 p.m., so the city hopes moving the time of the meeting up an hour will increase the likelihood of residents attending. The Nov. 1 World Series game will only be played if neither the Cubs nor Cleveland Indians have reached four wins in the first five games. Game 1 is Tuesday night in Cleveland.
