If you like cheese, you'll love The Cheese People. And yes, most of their cheeses come from the dairy state.

We've heard of the cheeseheads.
Now, introducing the cheese people.
That's the name of the Quincy, Ill.-based company. From the basic Jacks and Cheddars to more refined Swisses and Goudas, The Cheese People make most of their cheeses in Wisconsin. But not all.

"One, the Midnight Moon, comes from California," said David Grothause, who works in sales for The Cheese People. "A couple come from France. 95 percent are from Wisconsin."
The Cheese People are also known for their curds, which are small pieces of cheese, made in large tins, like how beer is brewed.

"They scrape off the top (of the tin)," said Grothause. "The only reason you would eat curds is they a fresh, squeaky and fun."

The Cheese People has a table all summer at the which runs 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays through Sept. 24.
