Following a busy summer and autumn, the Lake Bluff Public Library has continued to work hard to improve its service, materials, and facilities. The faded blue trim on the front and rear of the library received a much needed new coat of paint. Either this fall or in the coming spring, the library plans to continue improving its grounds. This next project will focus on the northeast corner of the property, and will open the view both into and out of the Lake Bluff History Museum. On the inside, our patrons indicated that the location of the indoor book drop and the lack of displays were frustrating. We listened, and have moved the book drop to a more accessible spot at the circulation desk and added more displays. Look for more changes at the library in the coming year as we continue to grow with the community we serve.
