Woman Forged Checks From Employer: Cops

A Lake Forest man picks up a domestic battery charge.

The following information is from the Lake Forest Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

DOMESTIC BATTERY

Nicholas W. Nyberg, 22, of the 500 block of Ryan Place was charged with domestic battery after police were called to his residence at 9:05 p.m. on October 12. After speaking with numerous occupants of the home, Nyberg was taken into custody and charged with domestic battery for striking a household member.

FORGERY

Ryan A. Thomas-Allen, 29, Great Lakes was charged with six counts of felony forgery and one count of felony theft on September 29. Police responded to a report that numerous checks were taken from a home in the 1200 block of West Fork Drive on September 18 and forged for varying amounts totaling approximately $7,000. The checks were found to be made out to Thomas‐Allen, a former employee of the victim. Thomas‐Allen later admitted to an officer to taking the checks and making them out to herself.
