52-Year-Old Fights Back Attack at CTA Stop in Wrigleyville: Cops

A 21-year-old has a battery charge and swollen face after allegedly picking on a man more than twice his age.

CHICAGO, IL - A 52-year-old man walking out of the Red Line station in Wrigleyville fought back when he was attacked and spit in the face by a man less than half his age earlier this month.

And it looks like he got in a few hits on Antonio Rodriguez, 21, who now faces a battery charge.

A police report indicates that on August 3 Rodriguez stepped in the way of the older man’s path, spit in his face and punched him in the head at the Addison CTA Red Line stop, according Crime in Wrigleyville and Boystown.

The victim responded with a ferocious attack, causing several bruises and a swollen face on Rodriguez and sending the alleged attacker to the hospital.
