Happening Tonight: New Beer Collaboration Release Party at Paddy Long's
Soon-to-open gastro brewpub Dryhop Brewers will be releasing their collaborative brew with Lake Effect Brewing tonight at Paddy Long's at 7pm.
Looking for something new to do tonight? How about trying a new beer? Dryhop Brewers, set to open near Broadway and Barry this Spring, is a gastro brewpub that places special attention on precision in their craft while also creating an inviting “neighborhood front porch” atmosphere.
Once they open, they’ll serve up small plates, handcrafted beers, and will also have a growler bar so you can take your beer home.
While setting up shop, they’ve partnered with many likeminded brewmaster friends to create collaborative brews available at local bars around Chicago. One such brew, a Belgo-IPA named “Shot a Man in Simcoe,” is being released tonight at Paddy Long's (1028 W. Diversey).

The collaboration with Lake Effect Brewing was “brewed with copious amounts of Centennial, Simcoe, and Citra hops.It was fermented on a French Saison yeast strain at 80 degrees, allowing the beer to attenuate about 90 percent.
The result is a dry crisp ale with a few Belgian phenols thrown in for good measure. The finish will be citrusy and floral due to the addition of more Simcoe and Citra during the dry hop process. Be warned this one is an easy drinker for a 7.5% ABV brew,” according to Dry Hop.

The release party starts at 7pm and the first 25 guests to order the new beer can leave with the glass they drank it in. Cheers!
