Burglars Break Into Lake View Restaurant, Business

The suspects smashed the front door glass of businesses on Clark and Sheffield, police said.

CHICAGO, IL — Burglars broke into two businesses in the city's Lake View neighborhood in April, police said. In both burglaries, police said the suspects shattered the front door glass, and pried open an ATM machine. Both break-ins happened after the businesses closed, police said.

The first burglary happened at Kanela Breakfast Club at 3231 N Clark between April 12 and 13, police said. The second break-in happened at 3352 N Sheffield on April 16 around 4 p.m., police said.

The amount of cash stolen in each burglary is unknown.
