Fired Hairstylist Returned to Salon and Claimed to Be New Manager: Prosecutor

The North Side woman faces trespassing charges after having the locks changed at her former work site.

CHICAGO, IL - A North Side hairstylist is accused of having the locks changed at the Sport Clips on Clark Street in Wrigleyville and claiming to be the new manager, even though she was actually fired by the same salon a few days prior.

Danielle Hamby, 34, of Chicago was charged with theft and criminal trespassing for the stunt, according to Crime in Wrigleyville & Boystown.

After she was fired, Hamby returned to the salon in the early morning hours last Monday and paid a locksmith to have the locks changed on the front door, prosecutors claim in court. She is then accused of greeting salon workers by telling them the salon underwent an ownership change and that she was named the new manager.
