Firefighter Injured While Fighting Flames on Cornelia
Eight people were displaced from their homes early Friday morning when a fire lit up on the back porch of a Lake View apartment.
CHICAGO, IL - A Chicago firefighter suffered a minor injury and eight people were displaced from their homes early Friday morning in an apartment fire at 1065 W. Cornelia in Lake View.
The back porch of the two-and-a-half story building caught fire shortly after 5 a.m., according to the Chicago Fire Department. At first, no injuries were reported but then fire officials confirmed the transport of one firefighter.
The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
