Grammy Award-Winning Guitarist To Perform Free Lake View Concert
Pack your blanket and head to Gallagher Way for free classical music performances June 24.

CHICAGO, IL — Classical guitarist Jason Vieaux will be performing in Lake View on June 24 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Gallagher Way. His recent solo album, 'Play,' won the 2015 Grammy Award for Best Classical Instrumental Solo. The former Park at Wrigley field will also be hosting other talented local musicians Sunday to kick off its summer music series.
Chicago Symphony Orchestra’s Stephanie Jeong, violinist and associate concertmaster, and cellist Brant Taylor will also be performing at the concert.
Adam Neiman, a Grammy Award-nominee pianist and composer, will play pieces by Chopin and Tchaikovsky, as well as his own original compositions. Nieman is a full-time piano professor at the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University and the Artistic Director of the Manchester Music Festival.

People are encouraged to bring a blanket, pack a picnic and arrive early as space is limited, organizers said. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.
The Line-Up is co-curated by Edwin Outwater, Musical Director Laureate of the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony in Ontario, Canada and Tim Higgins, principal trombone of the San Francisco Symphony.
