Man Breaks Into Lakeview Apartment, Ties Up Woman

CHICAGO, IL — A suspect broke into an apartment in the Lakeview neighborhood and tied up a woman on Sunday, police said. The break-in happened in the 900 block of West George Street around 4:30 p.m., according to police. The man forced his way in by kicking in the back door, police said.

The man tied up the 24-year-old woman, and stole her laptop, cell phone and car keys, police said.

After he fled, the woman ran to a neighbor's apartment for help.

No one was in custody Wednesday. Area North detectives were investigating.
