Man Who Fired Gun After Cubs Playoff Win Could Get 10 Years in Prison
Hoytuan Pierce pleaded guilty to being a felon in possession of a handgun in connection to a confrontation on Clark Street in 2015.

CHICAGO, IL - A man who police said fired a handgun near Wrigley Field after a Chicago Cubs playoff win pleaded guilty this week to a federal charge of being a felon-in-possession of a handgun and could spend as much as 10 years in prison.
Hoytuan Pierce, 33, of Chicago discharged the gun in the 3400 block of North Clark Street during a dispute that included several people on the night of Oct. 13, 2015, after the Cubs defeated the St. Louis Cardinals in Game 4 of the National League Division Series to clinch a berth in the National League Championship Series.
Pierce had previously been convicted of a felony and was not legally allowed to possess the gun, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office Northern District of Illinois.
