Massage Parlor Owner Texted an Apology to Woman He's Accused of Sexually Assaulting: Prosecutors

Takashi Takei, 43, is charged with criminal sexual assault after he allegedly assaulted a 40-year-old woman during a massage.

CHICAGO, IL — The owner of a Lake View massage parlor who is accused of sexually assaulting a customer allegedly sent her an apologetic text message after he was arrested, according to CBS Chicago.

Takashi Takei, 43, of the 5600 block of North Karlov Avenue, was charged with criminal sexual assault in connection with the assault, the report stated. He is being held on $75,000 bail.

Prosecutors claim Takei assaulted a 40-year-old woman after she undressed and reclined on a table for a massage Sept. 5 at his business, East Meets West, in the 3100 block of North Lincoln Avenue, according to the report. During the massage, Takei touched the woman on her butt and her inner thigh without her consent, and then he climbed on top of her and allegedly assaulted her, the report added.

The woman reported the attack to police, and a rape kit was used to collect evidence from her at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, CBS Chicago reports.

Police contacted Takei on Tuesday, and he surrendered to authorities, the report stated. Takei, who later confessed on video to the assault, sent the woman a text to apologize for the attack and tell her that he was going to jail, the report added.
