More Than $33K Worth Of Pot Mistakenly Delivered To Woman: Report

A Lake View resident called police after she received some very unexpected mail Wednesday, according to a report.

CHICAGO, IL — Nearly seven pounds of pot was delivered to a woman's apartment in Lake View Wednesday, according to a report. The woman received $33,000 worth of marijuana by accident from California, according to the Chicago Tribune. It was delivered to her apartment in the 400 block of West Aldine Avenue in a brown box with her name and an old address on it, according to the report.

As soon as she opened the package, she saw six vacuum-packed bags and phoned 311. An officer arrived and took the package.

The woman, who wished to remain anonymous, told the Tribune that the incident was "extremely odd."
