North Side Man Charged in Armed Robbery

Javier Villalobos-Garcia, 19, faces four felony counts in connection with the November incident.

CHICAGO, IL — A North Side faces felony charges in connection with a November armed robbery in the Edgewater neighborhood, according to Chicago police.

Javier Villalobos-Garcia, 19, of the 191400 block of West Elmdale Avenue, was arrested Wednesday morning and charged with four counts of felony armed robbery. He will appear in court Thursday.

Villalobos-Garcia is accused of pointing a gun at a 21-year-old man and demanding money at around 6:05 p.m. Nov. 27, in the 5800 block of North Ridge Avenue, police said. The victim complied with Villalobos-Garcia, who then fled the scene.
