North Side Nail Salons Robbed At Gunpoint: PHOTOS
Police released surveillance images of suspects who targeted nail salons in Roscoe Village and Sauganash.
CHICAGO, IL — Police have released surveillance images of two armed men who targeted nail salons in the city's Roscoe Village and Sauganash neighborhoods. Police are asking for the public's help in finding the suspects. In both robberies, the suspects pointed a handgun at employees and stole money and smart phones, police said.
The first robbery happened Dec. 1 in the 2100 block of West Roscoe at about 11:40 a.m., police said. The second robbery happened Monday around 1:30 p.m. in the 4100 block of West Peterson, according to a police community alert.
The two suspects are described as black men, between 16 and 18 years old, weighing between 130 and 160 pounds and standing between 5-foot-4 and 5-foot-8. They were wearing dark hooded jackets, blue jeans or pants that may have the number 85 printed on the hip, and gym shoes, police said.
