• Chicago's CARE Program Sees 51% Increase in Mental Health Crisis Responses (news-usa.today) — Lakeview residents are seeing more mental health support as Chicago's CARE teams now respond to significantly more 911 calls in the neighborhood after a citywide expansion. Clinicians and EMTs handle crises with medical care, supplies, and follow-up visits, aiming to reduce police involvement. Neighbors can also request non-emergency clinician-only visits directly by email within 72 hours.
