Poncho-Clad Bandit Robs Lake View Bank: FBI

Suspect fled with undetermined amount of money, FBI says.

A man wearing an orange rain poncho robbed a Lake View bank Tuesday afternoon.

The FBI said the man entered the Fifth Third Bank at 640 W. Diversey around 12:18 p.m. and demanded money in a non-takeover robbery.

He fled with an undetermined amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a male white in his 40s or 50s, approximately six feet tall, wearing an orange poncho that covered his head and sunglasses.

There were no injuries.
