Students Sickened by Elevated CO Levels at North Side Elementary School: Reports
Elevated CO levels found at Prussing Elementary School in Jefferson Park.

Students have been evacuated from a public elementary school in Jefferson Park after dozens of children complained of feeling sick.
Elevated carbon monoxide levels were found at Prussing Elementary School, 4650 N. Menard Ave. around 10 a.m. Friday.
The Chicago Fire Department enacted a hazmat/EMS 2 plan. Thirty-six students were treated at the scene and three were transported to nearby hospitals. All are expected to be OK, ABC-7 News reported.

Parents are flocking to the school.
The students are being bussed to another school while the building is being aired out. An investigation into the elevated CO levels is underway.
