Uber Driver Accused of Raping Lake View Woman During Ride Home
A 35-year-old Chicago man faces two felony charges after the alleged incident with an unconscious woman.

CHICAGO, IL — An Uber driver has been accused of raping an unconscious woman on a ride to the victim’s Lake View apartment.
Alexander Marrero, 35, of Chicago has been charged with aggravated kidnapping and criminal sexual assault in connection with the alleged June 26 incident, according to a DNAinfo Chicago report.
Prosecutors have said that Marrero picked up the 23-year-old woman at 1 a.m. from Division Street after she had been drinking with friends and relatives.

The victim told police she does not remember getting into Marrero’s car but does recall waking up with her shorts and underwear around her ankles.

The victim’s roommate could hear the victim crying from inside the vehicle as she waited for her outside their Lake View apartment.
Marrero has been banned permanently from Uber.
