Woman Killed In Lake View Hit-And-Run
Police have released surveillance images of a vehicle wanted in connection with the hit-and-run.

CHICAGO, IL — A woman was killed in a hit-and-run in Lake View Thursday night, police said. The 56-year-old was struck at 3344 North Halsted Street around 9 p.m., according to police. The woman was crossing the street when she was struck by a four-door, red Jeep Renegade, police said. Instead of stopping, the Jeep drove south on Halsted, police said.
The woman was taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center where she was pronounced dead. The victim has been identified as Dorata Gieslinska, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
Police were investigating the hit-and-run. No one was in custody.

The Chicago Police Department has released surveillance images of the jeep, and is asking anyone with information to contact the Major Accident Investigation Unit at (312) 745-4521.
