If you know the sound of It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown — the wandering piano of the Graveyard Theme, the swagger of The Red Baron, the wistful Great Pumpkin Waltz — you know Vince Guaraldi's music, even if you've never heard his name. This October, pianist Connor Cowart leads a jazz combo — with LCSO principal Lauren Moldenhauer on flute, LCSO principal Karl EH Seigfried on bass, Octavio Escamilla on guitar, and Calvin Simmers on drums — through brand-new arrangements of that score, written by Cowart himself and performed live for the first time on October 17. Serna's Grill will be on-site serving throughout the evening, along with curated signature cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages available for purchase. Seating is limited; advance purchase is strongly recommended.
